EASY RECIPE ON HOW TO MAKE MEAT PIE
In this article am going to give you guys an easy recipe on how to make meat pie.
First of, i will start by listing the equipment, ingredients, how to make the dough for the meat pie, how to prepare the meat pie filling and make the meat pie in total.
Equipment needed for preparing the meat pie
Ingredients needed for making meat pie
780 g of all purpose flour.
240 g of butter.
Meat( 4 piece)
3 Irish potato
1 tbsp of thyme
1 stock cube.
1/2 tbsp of control onions
1 medium size egg.
How to make the dough for the meat pie
First off, measure out your 780 g of flour and 240 g of butter.
After weigh them out, put them in a big bowl for mixing.
Mix in the butter to the flour properly then add 421 mm of water to it and mix.
After mixing it into a dough, leave it in the bowl.
How to make meat pie filling
Pour about 300 mm of water into a pot and put it on the cooker to boil.
Wash the 4 piece of meat and cut into little bits.
After cutting the meat to little bits, add it to the boiling water to cook.
Let the meat cook for about 10 minutes.
As the meat is cooking, Start to cut the potato into bit together with the carrot.
After 10 minutes of letting the meat cook, add the chopped Irish potato and carrot to the cooking pot and mix the 3 ingredient properly and cover for 2 minutes to cook.
After 2 minutes, add the remaining ingredients to the cooking pot which are; 1 nutmeg(grounded), 1 tbsp of thyme, 1/2 tbsp of control onions and 1 stock cube.
After adding these ingredients, stir and and cover the pot for 5 minutes then turn off the cooker.
Go to your work space, place the dough on the work space surface, take a little dough out from the big rounded dough and place it on the work space, take the rolling pin and knead the dough.
After kneading the dough perfectly, add in the meat pie filling and flip one side of the dough to another.

After flipping one side of the dough to another, the put it in the cutter and press it down to cut out the rough edge of the meat pie. These will help to give to meat pie a nice shape.
After making as so many meat pie as you can, put them in the tray pan and put them in the oven and turn the oven on.
Note- I was able to make 10 pieces of meat pie with the dough.
The meat pie should be fully baked in an hour.
After about 40 minutes of putting the meat pie in the oven, bring it out egg wash it.
To egg wash the meat pie, Just break the egg in a bowl, get a brush and apply the egg on the meat pie. Check the video to see see how it is done.
After eye washing the meat pie put it back for another 20 minutes to bake.
After about 20 minutes, the meat pie should be ready to be devoured.
